Sequel to the growing tension in London, United Kingdom; staging a protest, demanding Nigeria’s president’s return to attend to security challenges and health crisis. Perceived cabals of the presidency were said to have mobilised UK-based Nigerians for a counter protest.

It was alleged that each individual to participate at the protest would be paid £75 (about ₦50,000), to counter the ongoing protest.

A credible source on anonymity confirmed it.

The report revealed that; “The federal government is organizing a pro-Buhari rally in London for Wednesday. Those to take part will be paid heavily.

“I received a call from a close friend few nights ago, asking me to help get people that can attend a Pro-Buhari rally, because I have access to a little data base, having being an event promoter. The rally is scheduled for Wednesday 12pm and they are paying £75 per head.

“I find it so disgusting and disheartening and I can’t bring myself so low to do such. This shows the level of corruption these leaders are; and I am sorry for some of us abroad that are willing to do such all because of money,” the source said.

Earlier on Friday, a crowd of Nigerians in the United Kingdom had stormed the Abuja House, 2 camp den Hill, Kensington London, demanding that “Buhari,” who is currently on medical leave, should immediately return home.

A Nigerian broadcaster and former presidential aide, Reno Omokiri, who appeared to be the convener, had said, in a tweet that “the protesters assembled with a mission to chase the president back home”.

“The police came but the #HarrassBuharioutoflondon went on, a frightened @MBuhari refused to come,” he tweeted.
