EndSARS: Youths resume protest in Aba

Following the massacre of unarmed protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos on 20 October, many thought the protests had died down but instead it has gained pace in several parts of the country.

In Aba, Abia state, a mammoth crowd showed up on the streets to demand the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, a police unit marred by persistent complaints of rogue activities ranging from extortion, blackmail, robbery and mass murders.

Recall, that the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, had instructed a nationwide cleanup to be carried out across the country.

According to the Biafra leader, the cleanup was to clean the messy environment to enable the next phase of the EndSARS protest.

Residents of Aba within the Faulks road, Ngwa road, Port Harcourt road, Uratta, Ogbor Hill and others had complied with the instructions and having cleaned up their communities, resumed protest across the state with many chanting EndSARS, EndSWAT, EndPOLICE BRUTALITY, EndNIGERIA and so on.
