Super Eagles defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has expressed delight after claiming a goal in the 2-0 victory against Chelsea in the English Premier League encounter at the King Power Stadium, Leicester, England.

Just six minutes into the game, Ndidi scored his first Premier League goal of the season as he finished James Maddison’s cross, putting Leicester City 1-0 ahead.

In forty-one minutes, just few moments before half-time, Maddison of Leicester made a move all by himself to finish with aplomb 2-0.

The Foxes maintained to battle their way to a 2-0 victory. The win took Leicester City to the first position on the Premier League table.

Commenting after the game, Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers said, “You have seen the real spirit of the side tonight. We were a real threat going forward.

“The performance and maturity of the team was pleasing. I knew we were playing against a talented team and we had to be right on our game,” Rodgers told BBC Sport.
