Victor Osimhen dedicates goal to #EndSARS protesters in Nigeria

The Edo native, Nigerian International, Osimhen raised a shirt with the inscription “#End Police Brutality in Nigeria” in support of the massive protests ongoing back home.

Having scored his first league goal for the Italian side Napoli, the forward struck a pose to celebrate the goal and lend his support to the youths back home in Nigeria.

Large crowds of protesters, mainly youths from all works of life have been on the streets in all the cities and communities in Nigeria, they demand that the government shut down the Police unit SARS, Special anti-Robbery Squad known for extrajudicial killings and harassments of the public; they are largely responsible for the persistent complaints of police brutality and the illegal activities for which the unit was established in 1992.
