AY, co-entertainers downgrade protests to rally
Some Nigerian celebrities have downgraded the nationwide protests to rally filled with fanfare and entertainment.
The masses having endured a difficult year, had resolved to protest the heavy-handedness of the government post lockdown, a series of bad policies like increase in electricity tariff and fuel pump proved to be price proved to be the last straw that broke the camel’s back
Many celebrities have since joined the protests in a similar fashion, taking actions that will ultimately draw all the attention to themselves, with music and fanfare, turning what started as #EndSARS protest, a formal objection to the rot and impunity in the government to entertainment rally.
