News of the ajax player’s recovery has sent waves of joy across the sporting world, the player who has been in a coma for 2 years, 8 months and 19 days since collapsing during a friendly match against Werder Bremen was able to sit up in a wheelchair, according to his family, the 22-year-old is enjoying watching football on TV again.
The Dutch midfielder who is of Moroccan descent was born in Amsterdam. He came through the youth ranks at the Johan Cruyff Arena and graduated to the senior squad in 2015.
