When the Governor and his entourage arrived, the indigenous people and locals were overjoyed, singing loudly at the top of their voices.

Mr Governor informed the people that Onitsha and Anambra must be clean because cleanliness is second only to godliness. He was pleased with the level of work being done to clear gutters and drainages, which will allow water to flow freely. He appealed to people not to throw trash in the cleared area and assured that the cleanup would continue.

Mr Governor took the opportunity to remind the public that the long-running sit-in will conclude on April 4th, and that IPOB leadership had issued a public statement supporting his administration. He also stated that vigorous discussions are underway to secure Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release from DSS custody.

The presence of Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, often known as Odumeje, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, was the highlight of the day. He urged the people to rally behind Governor Soludo in order to realize his vision of a livable and thriving homeland.
