Arsenal: Paul Merson names best player of the season

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has warned Senegal international, Sadio Mane over the player’s decision to leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich.

Merson cannot see why the player would want to make such a move this summer.
Mane helped Liverpool win the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League a year later.
The Africa Cup of Nations winner has just over a year left on his contract at the club, but he is said to have told the club that he wants to leave this summer.

Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich are said to be hoping to sign him for around £25million.

Transfer: Chelsea suffer blow as Real madrid signs Gabriel Sionnia

Real Madrid look to have dealt Chelsea yet another transfer blow after they appear to have beaten the Premier League giants to the signing of goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.

The 18-year-old has drawn interest from a number of English clubs, including Chelsea after impressing in the MLS so far this season.

But Slonina’s agent, Jaime Garcia, has reiterated his intentions for the shot-stopper to sign for Real Madrid, who have already had one bid rejected, but are expected to table a second, more financially appealing bid.

Transfer: Your confidence will be affected – Tchouameni warned against Real Madrid move

Monaco midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni has been warned against leaving the club for Real Madrid this summer.

Tchouameni is close to completing a €100 million transfer to Real Madrid, but France legend, Bixente Lizarazu, fears his confidence level will be affected, adding that it represents a risk for the 22-year-old with the World Cup looming in November. Tchouameni has enjoyed an impressive 2021/22 season for Monaco.

He helped them to third position in Ligue 1, thanks to a run of nine successive victories towards the end of the campaign.

“The only thing that could perturb Tchouameni in the next months is the possible transfer to Real Madrid, if it happens,” Lizarazu told L’Equipe.

“In general, it takes between six months and a year to adapt to a new club, especially one in another county. If he does not have the playing time he expects, this could affect his confidence.

Nations League: Denmark coach, Hjulmand reveals why they defeated France

Denmark coach, Kasper Hjulmand has given a reason his team defeated France 2-1 in Friday’s UEFA Nations League tie.

Hjulmand said Denmark won against France because his players had the upper hand in the midfield against the host.
According to him, his team had prepared for the clash against France a long time ago.

Two goals from Andreas Cornelius ensured Denmark defeated France.

Karim Benzema did score for France at the Stade de France Stadium.
Speaking during his post-match press conference, Hjulmand said: “We are, above all, very happy and very proud of this fantastic performance here in Paris, and all the credit goes to the players.

“People will celebrate this victory in the streets in Denmark, and we are happy to be able to make the country happy.

‘Dont know why you want to leave Liverpool ‘- Paul Merson warns Mane over decision

Arsenal legend, Merson has named Aaron Ramsdale as the club’s player of the season.

He also said that the England international has proved him wrong and made him eat his words.
Ramsdale joined the Gunners in a £25million transfer last summer from relegated Sheffield United.

He conceded a whopping 125 goals in the process and some, including Merson, were sceptical that the 24-year-old would be an improvement on then Arsenal No.1 Bernd Leno.

Last season, the goalkeeper ended up keeping 12 clean sheets in 31 games as Arsenal came agonisingly close to finishing top four.
