Former German professional defender Thomas Tuchel, 47, signed an 18-months contract at Chelsea Tuesday evening, with a possibility of extending it by a further year in London.
However, Tuchel has served as a head coach of Borussia, Dortmund, PSG, among other clubs. He has also won six trophies at PSG, including two Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue and two Trophees des Champions.
Tuchel’s contract as a head coach in Chelsea was coming barely 24-hours after coach Lampard was sacked.
Howbeit, ‘The Blues’ has spent more than £200m on new players in the summer, yet the find themselves ninth in the Premier League after 19 games, 11 points behind leaders Manchester United and five points off Liverpool in fourth.
