I appreciate President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s efforts to free our citizens from Russian captivity. We were able to accomplish substantial humanitarian outcomes as a result of Turkey’s mediation. We are now dependent on more efforts.
Today, I provided a list of our Ukrainian nationals, including Crimean Tatars, who have been persecuted by Russia in Ukraine’s occupied lands and are being kept in Russian jails and camps in exceptionally harsh and brutal circumstances.
We must free them all, both fighters and civilians, those who were apprehended while defending their people and those who face Russian brutality solely because of their ethnicity – Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars, everyone.
Nariman Dzhelyal, Lenie Umerova, Server Mustafayev, and all other illegally detained individuals. Everyone deserves to live a dignified and peaceful life in their own house.
