Today, I spoke at the National Taras Shevchenko Award Ceremony. For a human group to become a nation and a state, its best citizens must have hearts that are not content with simply living for themselves. Such hearts communicate with those nearby. Take care of them. Teach them to understand. Unite and protect. Save when necessary.
As a result, we all recognise, hear, and understand that we are Ukrainians. And this will be the case indefinitely. Ukraine will exist forever.
I am grateful to everyone who lives for more than just themselves. Who cares about the people and the entire state? I am grateful to everyone who is currently on the frontlines, as well as those who are supporting them. Who supports, cares for, and develops Ukraine.
