Obinwannem News Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho arrested in Cotonou

Popular Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo known as Sunday Igboho, has been intercepted by security forces, in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

Igboho was said to have been arrested Monday night, in the West African country as he reportedly planned to flee the continent.

Recall, the State Security Services, otherwise (DSS) had sought after Igboho following the recent midnight raid, by the DSS, on his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Sahara Reporters relayed that; “He [Igboho] was supposed to travel to Germany through Cotonou this night. He wanted to leave Africa through Cotonou. He was arrested by security operatives in Cotonou.

“They are planning to bring him back to Nigeria.”
