Man Utd ready to offer Arsenal star Lisandro after Jurrien Timber ‘stuns’ Erik ten Hag with rejection

The Red Devils have turned their attention to a different Ajax star, Manchester United are preparing an opening offer for Ajax star and Arsenal target Lisandro Martinez after being rebuffed by his team-mate Jurrien Timber, according to reports.

New boss Erik ten Hag had identified young Dutch defender Timber as his preferred choice to reinforce United’s leaky backline, but he was left stunned when the 20-year-old snubbed a move to Old Trafford.

Netherlands head coach Louis van Gaal is believed to have played a role in the decision, with the former United boss warning Timber that he would not have a place in this winter’s World Cup squad if he is not playing regularly.

But United are ready to move on quickly from that rejection and have switched their focus from Ajax’s Talent of the Year to their Player of the Year instead.

According to De Telegraf’s Mike Verweij, United are now in the process of readying an offer for Ajax’s versatile Argentine centre-back Martinez – who is also being pursued by Arsenal.

Ten Hag knows the 24-year-old extremely well, having coached him for the last three years, and feels he is ideally suited to the style of play he wants to impose at Old Trafford.

EPL: Set to sign Man Utd star Nathan after Raheem Sterling

Chelsea have entered the race to sign another Manchester City star, Nathan Ake, in addition to signing Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea are sure of securing a deal for Sterling, who has just a year remaining on his deal with City and has no plan to renew his contract. The Blues are also in the market for a left-footed centre-back to replace Antonio Rudiger, who is now a Real Madrid player

And The Telegraph reports that the Blues boss, Tuchel ‘holds a long-term interest’ in Ake, who is a product of Chelsea’s youth team.

Chelsea did have the opportunity to exercise their £40 million buyback clause for Ake two seasons ago but opted against it, which paved the way for the former Southampton star to move to Manchester City.

West Ham: Report claims club are in advanced talks to sign £19 million Luca Pellegrini

West Ham United have allegedly made an approach to sign talented Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini this summer.

That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport  who claim that the Hammers are currently in talks with the 23-year-old full-back’s agent.

Left-back is definitely an area at the London Stadium where West Ham manager David Moyes needs to strengthen before the start of next season.

Aaron Cresswell has been a very good servant for the Hammers since moving to the club from Ipswich Town in 2014 for around £4 million (Mirror).

Moyes has already been linked with a move to upgrade on Cresswell by signing Hoffenheim ace David Raum. It seems as though there is another option for us though…

West Ham are in talks to sign Juventus left-back

Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Hammers are in constant discussions with Luca Pellegrini’s representatives. His agent – Vincenzo Raiola, is looking for a new destination for the 23-year-old this summer and it is alleged that a move to the Premier League could well be on the cards.

We think that the Italian defender would be a very smart addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

The 23-year-old is an attacking full-back by nature and can also operate further ip the pitch if need be.

Chelsea moves to pay Romelu Lukaku wages after rejoining inter milan Chelsea are going to be paying some of Romelu Lukaku’s wages when he rejoins Inter Milan on loan this summer.

To be honest we should be DOCKING his wages not paying them whilst he is playing for another team, and this one HAS annoyed me I cannot lie.

Could Chelsea already be in talks to sign Declan Rice from West Ham?

His loan move to Inter Milan looks set to be completed very soon now and to be honest I’ll absolutely celebrate this the same as if we are buying a new world-class striker, more than I celebrated signing him. I can’t wait for this guy to go now, it’s been nothing but a dramatic nightmare.

But Chelsea will be paying some of his wages, according to Graeme Bailey of 90min at least, who says Lukaku has now agreed his terms with Inter Milan. It also says that Lukaku will take a drop in wages, and the deal ‘could’ include an obligation to buy at the end of the loan.

Tottenham in great dispute with Arsenal over signing Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are gaining confidence in their pursuit of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, according to The Times (Martin Rickett/PA)

A bitter tug of war is brewing over the future of Gabriel Jesus. The Daily Mirror reports north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are in a two-horse race in pursuit of the 25-year-old striker, with the Gunners believed to be leading the way. However, Tottenham’s offer of Champions League football could still sway Jesus to Spurs.

The Guardian reports Manchester City expect Raheem Sterling to depart the club in the summer, with Chelsea standing ready to step up their pursuit of the 27-year-old forward.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is desperate to strengthen his inconsistent attack, though Sterling is likely to have a wealth of other suitors.

Staying with Chelsea, the Daily Mail says the Blues are nearing a loan deal to send striker Romelu Lukaku back to his former club Inter Milan.
