In a successful and peaceful event, the Okworeaka Nkaleke Village Election took place on July 28, 2023. The occasion witnessed the presence of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Internal Security, Hon. Comr Mbam Emmanuel Obinna, along with other stakeholders from the security apparatus of the state government and community representatives.

Officiating the election at the village square, Hon. Comr Mbam Emmanuel Obinna highlighted the importance of a transparent and democratic process. He joined forces with the Executive Chairman of Ebonyi LG, Hon Prince Chinedu Uburu, the State Honorable Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Hon Dr Illang Donatus, and other senior Special Assistants to the Governor from Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone.

The election was praised by the eldest man and the immediate past village head for its fairness and adherence to the village constitution. The villagers were given the freedom to vote for their desired candidate without any interference.

Hon. Comr Mbam Emmanuel Obinna urged the newly elected village leadership to embrace their responsibilities and assured them of his continuous support in matters related to security and peace in the village. The community and state government officials have shown commitment to upholding democratic values and working together for the well-being of Okworeaka Nkaleke Village.
