The History and Vision of Obinwannem: In 2019, a vision was conceived in Ukraine, one that aimed to unite and uplift the Igbo people scattered across the globe. Facing numerous challenges in bringing together members from Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, and Abịa States, this vision took shape as the Obinwannem Foundation.

Today, this foundation, alongside Obinwannem Liability Company and Obinwannem Media Company, stands as a beacon of hope for the Igbo race, promoting culture, investment, and media representation.

The Birth of Obinwannem

Obinwannem was originally registered in Ukraine, but its journey was far from straightforward. It faced the complexities of uniting Igbo communities spread across five states. This challenge led to its relocation, first to Ghana, then to Owerre Imo State, and ultimately to Nsukka, where it currently stands. Here, a state-of-the-art studio nears completion, awaiting commissioning.

Obinwannem: A Tripartite Operation

Obinwannem operates on a three-fold approach, each segment addressing a crucial aspect of Igbo identity and development.

Obinwannem Foundation: At the heart of this initiative is the Obinwannem Foundation. This segment serves as a catalyst for preserving and reviving the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo people. It fosters the rekindling of Igbo values, including culture, arts, agriculture, and the communal spirit that defined generations past. The foundation’s primary mission is to bring back the glory of the Igbo race.

Obinwannem Liability Company: Economic empowerment is a pivotal component of Obinwannem’s mission. The Liability Company serves as a platform for investors to pool their resources and invest in various sectors such as agriculture, technology, farming, food processing, and more. These investments aim to improve the welfare of Ndi Igbo worldwide and raise the standard of living while fostering development in Aligbo.

Obinwannem Media Company: In an age of global communication, Obinwannem Media Company takes centre stage. Through its various media channels, it showcases the vibrant Igbo culture and promotes Igbo-owned businesses. It provides news and insightful analysis on issues relevant to the Igbo community, setting a new standard for media excellence.

A Call to Action

As Obinwannem prepares to launch its second ultra-modern studio in Nsukka, there is a pressing need for skilled professionals. Roles such as video editors, journalists, editors, and writers are crucial for ensuring the success of this endeavour. Obinwannem extends an open invitation to qualified individuals who share a passion for preserving Igbo heritage and promoting its prosperity.

Embrace the Opportunity

As the Nsukka studio’s launch approaches, Obinwannem encourages the Igbo people to seize this opportunity. Not only is this a chance to witness the birth of a cultural and economic hub, but it’s also an invitation to become a part of a movement dedicated to revitalizing and empowering the Igbo race.

Obinwannem stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Igbo people. From its humble beginnings to its ambitious vision, it embodies the essence of unity, cultural preservation, economic development, and media excellence. As it takes its next steps, it calls upon the Igbo community to unite, embrace their heritage, and actively participate in the journey toward a brighter future for all ndi Igbo worldwide.
