Obinwannem News Man City boss Pep Guardiola fully focused on derby vs Man Utd after thrashing Club Brugge

Raheem Sterling netted as Manchester City struck three times in the second half to move closer to the Champions League last 16 with a 4-1 win over Club Brugge; Pep Guardiola’s side need a point to reach knockout stages.

Pep Guardiola immediately turned his attention to Saturday’s derby against Manchester United after his side brushed off Club Brugge for a second time. City followed up their 5-1 win over the Belgian side a fortnight ago with a 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium to move to the top of Champions League Group A.

Guardiola defended his claims that the game with Brugge was the most important of the week for his team, with the Manchester derby next up in the Premier League this weekend, live on Sky Sports.

City manager Guardiola said: “The people were taking the p*** for me saying today was more important than United – and it was. But now the most important game ever is Man Utd”.
