Anambra State, Nigeria – Chidozie Nwangwu, the renowned native doctor widely known as Ákwà Okuko Tiwaraki, has been reunited with his loved ones after being held captive by abductors for several days. His release came in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Ákwà Okuko Tiwaraki recounted his traumatic experience to friends and well-wishers, shedding light on the events leading up to his kidnapping. According to his narration, he received a call from someone named Okey Japan, claiming to be at his hotel, spending a significant amount of money and requesting his presence.

Without hesitation, Ákwà drove to the hotel alone in his new car. However, upon arrival, chaos ensued as gunshots rang out, causing panic and confusion. Tragically, two of his security personnel lost their lives during the incident.

In a brave attempt to prevent further harm, Ákwà chose not to flee and followed the kidnappers, fearing they would cause harm to more people if he escaped. He explained that his decision was motivated by a desire to protect innocent lives and clear his name from any potential accusations.

Addressing the speculations about his kidnapping being related to unsatisfied patrons seeking retribution for ineffective money-making rituals, Ákwà refuted such claims vehemently. He emphasized that he did not engage in any fraudulent practices and was not responsible for any financial losses incurred by his clients.

Ákwà attributed the kidnapping to the ongoing sit-at-home protests in the region, during which the perpetrators targeted individuals they perceived to have significant wealth. He further revealed that the kidnappers had plans to abduct up to 50 people from his hotel on that fateful day.

Despite facing this terrifying ordeal, Ákwà Okuko Tiwaraki remains steadfast in his conviction that he has not wronged anyone and holds no ill intentions toward others. He called for an end to violence and urged individuals with grievances to seek peaceful resolutions.

Authorities are actively investigating the kidnapping case, and security measures are being reinforced to ensure the safety of residents and visitors alike in Anambra State.

As Ákwà reunites with his loved ones, the community stands in solidarity with him, hoping for a swift resolution to the underlying issues contributing to the unrest in the region.
