Obinwannem News Wike'demonised'Obigbo residents just to kill them - Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has lamented over the overwhelming ‘onslaught’ of Obibgo residents, says Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike had “demonised” the people for a total extermination.

Kanu’s social media handle revealed this on Sunday morning, while reacting to the arrest of Grace Abdu, a journalist with Voice Of America, by the Nigerian soldiers for interviewing residents of Obigbo in Rivers State.

The IPOB leader wondered why a journalist would be arrested and assaulted if the allegations levelled against IPOB by the Governor were true.

Kanu also frowned against the silents of the International communties such as the International Criminal Court – ICC, US Ambassador to Nigeria, UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, EU Mission to Nigeria etc, adding that their silence could mean survivors of the massacre should go into armed resistance.

“If all the outlandish concoctions & outright lies against #IPOB used to justify #ObigboMassacre were true, why is @HQNigerianArmy obstructing independent investigations?

“@GovWike demonised #Obigbo people just to kill them; sadly the killings are still ongoing yet no action from International Criminal Court – ICC, US Ambassador to Nigeria, UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, EU Mission to Nigeria etc.

“It is now clear the international community no longer care about victims of state orchestrated mass murder like what obtained in #Obigbo.

“Appealing to the moral sense of responsibility of conscientious civilised nations no longer work. Perhaps they want survivors of these brutal massacres all over Nigeria to go into armed resistance.

“Meanwhile, the much ‘respected’ Fulani terror franchise like Boko Haram, ISWAP and Fulani bandits are busy chopping off the heads of rice farmers in Borno. The cowardly bunch of murderers in uniform called Nigerian Army only have power over unarmed citizens.

“Countries like the United States of America, especially those apologists for impunity in Nigeria at the US State Department, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Turkey and European Union that supply arms to Nigeria are equally culpable in the murder of innocent people at #Obigbo & #Lekki.” Nnamdi Kanu said.
