The vibrant states of Enugu and Ebonyi are preparing for a monumental farewell as they join together to commemorate the life of an iconic figure, Hon Barr Felix Nwigwe Mgbada (MON), affectionately known as Owelle.
Hailing from the revered family of Mgbada Nwite Elum of Ohinya village, Okposi Umuoghara community, Ezza North LGA, Ebonyi State, Owelle was not just a political luminary but a symbol of inspiration and influence whose legacy resonates far beyond regional borders.
Owelle, whose journey began on November 25, 1950, in the heart of Ohinya village, went on to shape the political and legal landscape not only of South East but also on the national stage. A former chairman of Ezza local government, a distinguished member of the federal House of Representatives, and a stalwart in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees member, Owelle’s impact reached every corner of the political spectrum.
The Mgbada Nwite family, in a heartfelt statement signed by his son, Mgbada Okechukwu Mgbada, released the details of the upcoming burial proceedings, inviting friends, family, and dignitaries from all walks of life to join in bidding farewell to this legendary figure.
