Helicopter Crash Claims Access Holdings CEO and Five Others in California

In a devastating incident, a chopper transporting Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, crashed near the border of Nevada and California, claiming his life and five others. The Eurocopter EC 130, headed to Las Vegas, crashed late on Friday near Nipton on the edge of the Mojave Desert.

This marks California’s second fatal helicopter crash within a week, following a Navy chopper accident in Pine Valley. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported the crash near Baker after 10 pm on Friday, stating that no survivors have been located.

The FAA confirmed the crash location near Nipton, and NBC revealed that the helicopter was registered to Orbic Air, a Burbank-based tour company. As investigations unfold, the tragic incident has left authorities and the public mourning the loss of those onboard, including the prominent CEO, Herbert Wigwe.
