DSS set to interrogate former CBN deputy for revealing Boko Haram sponsors
The former Deputy Governor of Central Bank Nigeria, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, is to face interrogations by the Department of State Services in its office situated in Jos.
According to reports on the development made known to newsmen in Jos on Tuesday, “the interrogation was not unconnected to an interview he granted an Abuja radio station, 95.1FM, on Monday.
He said, “Yes, it true. The DSS invited me to appear in their Jos office tomorrow (Wednesday) by noon.”
Obinwannem gathered that Mailafia who was the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the 2019 election, revealed in the interview, how a repentant terrorist told him that a serving northern governor was the Boko Haram Commander.
In his words, “We have met with the bandits and their commanders, they have sat down with us, not once, not twice they told us that one of the serving governors in the north is the commander of Boko Haram in Nigeria.
“Boko Haram and the bandits are one, they have a sophisticated network. During this lockdown, the terrorists were busy moving ammunition, logistics and money across to the South.
“They are already in the South as I speak”, he concluded.
