Last Saturday night, unidentified gunmen abducted and killed Eze Joe-Benz Ochulor, the Olu 1 of Otulu Amumara in Imo state’s Ezinihitte Mbaise Council Area.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, verified the incident, stating, “The information is accurate.”
An eyewitness revealed that the monarch was kidnapped at 8 pm and later found dead at a distance from the community, causing shock and sorrow.
In response, Imo state’s Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, deployed a special squad to apprehend the culprits, with an assurance to bring them to justice.
Notably, the Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party had recently lost Smith Chiedoziem Anyanwu, the party’s ward chairman for Ife/Akpodim/Chokoneze Ward, Ezinihitte Mbaise council area, who was murdered last Thursday.
