In a significant development, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has met with his chosen physician outside the Department of State Services (DSS) facility. The meeting was confirmed by IPOB’s lead counsel Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who took to Twitter to share the update.
Ejiofor stated, “Sequel to our avowed assurance to always keep Ezigbo UmuChineke abreast of pertinent happenings, especially with Onyendu’s health status, welfare, and update on his legal matters, we are pleased to inform you that Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu met with his choice personal physician yesterday in a hospital in Abuja, outside the facility of the State Security Service (SSS).”
The medical examination was successful, and according to Ejiofor, Kanu will be progressing to the next stage soon. The legal team of Mr. Kanu has been actively trying to secure permission from the DSS for him to meet his physician.
Ejiofor also emphasized Kanu’s stance on the infamous sit-at-home order, urging the public to respect and follow his directive to cease further engagement with those enforcing unauthorized sit-at-home actions. Kanu’s legal team, led by Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, along with the leadership of IPOB, has been conveying this message through various media platforms.
