Obinwannem News Ganduje says Northerners are owners of Nigeria; Igbo, Yoruba are minorities

Kano State governor, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje affirmed the status of Northerners, as being the beneficiaries of Nigerians, noting that the minorities are the Igbo and Yoruba ethnic nationalities.

The governor disclosed this in an interactive session with journalists, at the State capital, Kano; while stating the need to restructure Nigeria.

However, he stressed on the need for every tribe in Nigeria to understand and support President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to move the country forward.

He further maintained that Northerners are the owners of Nigeria, since they constitute 80% of Nigeria population; making the Igbo and Yoruba peoples the minorities.

Governor Ganduje said, “It is a glaring fact that Northerners occupy over 80% of Nigeria and that is primarily while other minority tribes like Igbo and Yoruba should respect them for that.

“The insecurity everybody is talking about this is everywhere. Before, Nigerians, particularly Igbos and Yorubas use to think that insecurity exist only in the North, but today insecurity in those tribes today is on the increase.

“Igbos and Yorubas are busy agitating for freedom, thereby creating their own insecurity with the establishment of IPOB and Oduduwa Republic, which are now terrorizing the entire nation.

“My advice to every Nigerian, is to support President Muhammadu Buhari in moving this country forward. He has achieved so much for the country and must be commended,” he added.
