Enugu State has been designated by the Federal Government as one of the states set to undergo the e-governance pilot training programme, scheduled to kick off in the first quarter of 2024.

The announcement came during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, led by Engr. Ekworo MalcDonald, and Mrs. Oriloye Elizabeth, to Dr. Malachy Agbo, the Enugu State Commissioner for Human Development and Poverty Eradication yesterday.

The pilot initiative aims to equip one hundred civil servants with e-governance and information technology skills, aligning with the state government’s commitment to advancing digital governance under the leadership of Dr. Peter Mbah.

Dr. Agbo expressed gratitude for the selection, highlighting the state’s readiness to transition from manual to digital processes for increased efficiency in government operations.
