In a bid to mitigate the harsh effects of the policy, the governor has rolled out palliatives to assist those facing hardships.

During a meeting in Enugu on Monday, Governor Mbah established a committee responsible for the procurement, storage, and distribution of relief items to the citizens. The committee, chaired by Deputy Governor Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, has been charged with the crucial task of handling the palliatives transparently and ensuring their speedy distribution to those most in need.

He also reaffirmed his belief that the subsidy removal would ultimately benefit the country in the long run.

Governor Mbah urged the committee to act promptly and ensure the palliatives reached the homes of those who were in dire need. Transparency was emphasized as a key aspect of the distribution process to build trust with the public.
