Manchester United moved two points clear at the top of the Premier League after a French midfielder Paul Pogba struck, winning a 2–1 over Fulham at Craven Cottage Wednesday night.

They were duly rewarded for their control on 65 minutes when Pogba picks up the ball to the right of Fulham’s box. The Frenchman readies himself and curls a fantastic shot into the far bottom corner with his left foot.

It is the second time the Red Devils are unbeaten in their last 17 Premier League away games (W13 D4), equalling their longest ever unbeaten run on the road in top-flight history (17 between December 1998 and September 1999).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United coach, speaking about Paul Pogba’s goal, said; “It was a fantastic goal by Paul and we had some other chances as well second half to finish the game.

“But of course when it’s only one goal, with the players they put on, it’s always going to be heart in your mouth.

“He’s really come on. He’s fit, he can play in midfield, he can play wide, that’s the key with Paul, getting him match fit and really running fit and he is at the moment.

“An early yellow card and he still defended really well, stood his ground. There was one tackle in the second half that I was worried about, but he played very well.”

Pogba on his ‘beautiful goal said, “I did well. I didn’t expect the left foot would be like this, but if you don’t shoot, you don’t know what’s going to happen.

“So I’m really glad the ball went in. It was a beautiful goal and a beautiful win, more importantly.”
