In an exhilarating clash on Sunday, Manchester City faced a setback when Cole Palmer scored a 95th-minute penalty, allowing Chelsea to salvage a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Despite this, City remains one point ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal at the top of the table, with Liverpool beating Brentford 3-0.

Former City player Palmer haunted his old club as City let the lead slip three times against Chelsea.

The match saw controversial moments, including Erling Haaland’s penalty after a tussle with Marc Cucurella and a series of lead changes.

Thiago Silva, Reece James, Raheem Sterling, and Manuel Akanji all contributed to the scoreline, but the game remained intense.

Haaland’s quick response in the second half and Rodri’s deflected effort seemed to secure City’s victory, only for Ruben Dias’s penalty foul on Armando Broja and Palmer’s nerveless spot-kick to level the score.

This hard-fought draw places Chelsea back in the top half, but they are still 10 points away from the top four under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
