Dr. Nwabufor Izuchukwu Nwakwo is a dedicated and extremely self-motivated professional with over 23 years of expertise in the fields of public administration, office management, policy formation, and strategic advice.
Before he was appointed the senior special assistant (SSA) to the Governor on special service, he worked in the state civil service for over 20 years in the administration department, protocol, transportation, passenger affairs, and special service. In 2016, he won the Anambra State Civil Service Award for excellence, exemplary conduct, and dedication to duty. He has served as secretary and member of over 13 government committees.
He was also a two-term state chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Anambra state chapter, a past senior prefect of the Dennis Memorial Grammar School, (D, M, G, S) Onitsha, and president of the national association of political science students, (NAPSS) during his school days.
Dr. Nwabufor Nwankwo has a bachelor’s degree in political science (second class upper), a master’s degree in public administration, and a doctorate in public administration. He has attended various trainings and courses in public sector reform and administration both at home and abroad. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Management Consultants and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration, among other things. He is a knight of St. Paul.
