APC: Abuja High Court suspends Oshiomole as APC Chairman

Obinwannem News APC: Abuja High Court suspends Oshiomole as APC Chairman

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has suspended Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress following an application filed by Mr. Oluwale Afolabi.

Justice Danlami Senchi gave the order in response to the application of the interlocutory injunction asking the court to suspend Mr. Oshiomhole, who is already suspended as a member of the APC by the party in Edo State.

According to Mr. Afolabi, until Mr. Oshiomhole challenges and wins the suspension orders, his rights as an APC member are vanquished stressing further that he cannot continue to act as chairman of the same party he was suspended from.

Justice Senchi in his ruling maintained that the first and second respondents wrongfully kept Mr. Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the party, therefore ordering Mr. Oshiomole to stop parading himself as the chairman of the party.

Justice Senchi further urged the party to henceforth discontinue acknowledging him the chairman of the party, at the same time prevent him from gaining passage to the party’s secretariat.

Recall that Mr. Oshiomhole was controversially suspended by the APC in Edo State after he was suspended by the party’s leadership in his ward in the state.

The is yet another sad development in the lingering crisis within the party which stemmed from a fallout between Oshiomole and his successor, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
