Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has expressed delight after claiming a goal in the 2-1 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League encounter at Molineux on Tuesday.
Just six minutes into the game, Iwobi scored his first Premier League goal of the season as he finished Lucas Digne’s cross, putting Everton 1-0 ahead. However, Ruben Neves equalised for Wolves.
Despite all odds, the Toffees still managed to battle their way to a 2-1 victory, courtesy of Keane’s 71st-minute header.
The win took Everton to the fourth position on the Premier League table
Commenting after the game, Everton Coach Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with the way Iwobi and Digne combined for the opening goal.
“We had a different approach without Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin. We played more to attack the flanks with Iwobi and Digne and it worked well because the first goal was a fantastic combination,” he told BBC Sport.
