African nature; admitting the root problem

Fed up with the nature of my environment, my head was filled up with numerous thoughts while I stand and watch the water dripping from my roof. Outside my house, it was rotten to the extent I couldn’t look anymore. I slowly walked down to my room, and quietly grabbed my smartphone while I sit on the sofa.

It was the third time I’ll have this feeling that things were actually not fine today. Unlocked my phone, taped on the facebook icon as I wait patiently to be logged in.

For the first time in my life, I saw a Nigerian modern pastor speak the truth in the first video I came across, he said, “Pastors are the main problem we have in Nigeria, not politicians”.

To the average African pastor who is deliberately deceiving some followers, the pastor that made that statement is absolutely destroying their source of livelihood. Meanwhile, to some pastors who are wallowing in delusions, the pastor is equally a devil’s incarnate.

However, no matter how you choose to see or interpret the statement, it will never change one thing; that is the TRUTH.

According to Pastor Yoyo, “Pastors are obviously the root cause of problems in Nigeria”, same thing is applicable to the problems facing Africa.

Pastor Yoyo in one of his points, said that pastors are always quick to make prophecies for political candidates, but would never condemn the candidates when he’s doing the wrong things.

Practically, this has been the case for most pastors in Africa. They see normalcy in the face of abnormality. They see appropriation in the sight of inappropriate activities; and this is because they are already in receiving their own envelopes.

Churches are currently the cheapest way to attract voters, but in the middle of events, the church decides to keep mute.

Let’s go into none political aspects of problems facing Africa in general. Africa lacks technology, industries, companies, infrastructures and other social amenities.

Our pastors are not ready to help their followers grow in any of these aspects because every thorough follower of christ must come to the church and worship three or four times weekly. This time frame when put into serious innovations will yield more than unforeseen miracles and spiritual gifts.

An average African prophet believes in the wider spread of church buildings than the wider spread of education and workmanship. It is only in Africa where churches are duly funded more by politicians than schools, industries and innovative centres.

Africa needs more industries, more innovative centres, good school structures, companies and infrastructures than churches. When will these assertions of mine come to reality?

African pastors must consider the masses before their pockets. Think about the problems they create for campaigning for people who turn against the people after winning their elections. African pastors should think about minimizing their fallacious claims of worship days and maximize the invention and innovative nature of their African members.
