An innovative Igbo-born Solomon Ukoha was awarded with a full university scholarship, for building an electricity stations powered by crude oil.

The Scholarship was granted by Abia State governor Okezie Ikpeazu, who commended him for his good works, and gave him a scholarship to any university of his choice.

Governor Ikpeazu said in his official Twitter page that he was able to meet with Solomon, after the viral video that disclosed his works of the constructed electricity sub-station.

The governor further expressed delight regarding the astounding development.

“Today, i met Mr Solomon Ukoha, the man in the video, that went viral last week, where he showcased a miniature version of a crude oil powered Substation, which he constructed using locally sourced materials. I directed that he be sought, for a meeting with me; because beyond what we hoped to do for him as an Abian, is to energize and promote his innovation.

“I was personally eager to witness first hand with a sense of pride, (a) sub-station constructed by one of our young ones,” Ikpeazu tweeted.

A video of Solomon Ukoho, had gone viral as he showcased an unusual talent, of constructing electricity station powered by crude oil.

Solomon, 24, from Ohafia local government area in Abia State, said he was inspired by the spirit of God to have had the ability to erect the structure.

While showing how the electricity Substation functions, he powered a few electric bulbs in the process, and called people to charge their phones with the innovative machine.

Governor Ikpeazu, while expressing satisfaction, added that his interest was to make the man hone his skills, and solve the power challenges in the state and country at large.

He, however, urged him to train other people even as he continues to hone his life changing skills.
