Uzodinma and Buhari’s soldiers killing us, Orlu Chairman raises alarm
The Orlu Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Ubiaku Udoka has said that men of the Nigerian Army deployed by the State Governor Hope Uzodinma have resorted to the killing of youths in the state.
Expressing fear over the matter, Udoka noted that the soldiers which comprises mainly of northern officers have been going round the state killing and taking away bodies of their victims to unknown locations.
Udoka also said, that about nine youths were killed in broad daylight yesterday, and their bodies have not be found.
According to Hon. Udoka; ”Please note that soldiers in Imo state have been going around the state, killing innocent youths and carrying away their dead bodies. Since Wednesday, 22nd of October 2020, these guys who are mainly Northerners in military uniform have been here in Orlu LGA. As at yesterday, over Nine youths have been killed in broad daylight and their bodies dragged into their waiting truck and drove away. As at last night, two guys who sustained bullet injuries but escaped from them had been confirmed dead,” he said.
He went on to identify some of the victims as indigenes of Ebenator and Amaifeke in Orlu.
One of them is from Umuna Orlu from Ibemere’s family of Ebenator village while another who deals in fashion along Oleme road of Amaifeke Orlu also died”.
Udoka explained that the State Governor, Hope Uzodinma had mistaken the EndSARS protest to have been hijacked by the opposition party.
He said, “Information available to me shows that these guys are still busy moving around towns in Imo state, killing innocent youths and taking away their dead bodies to unknown destinations.
”This is for your kind attention and notice to all. Our people need to be enlightened and the international community notified because they do not want the world to know about these murderous activities hence their taking away these bodies.
”These soldiers are soldiers of the Nigerian army deployed into our towns by the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma. Uzodinma is aware of these killings, and most of us are worried as innocent and perceived political opponents would soon become targets.
”This is to let the world know that we are no longer safe in Imo State. The protests in Imo were not products of opposition political parties. As a matter of fact, the protesters are not even sparing the opposition.
”But when Uzodinma declared his curfew and alleged that opposition political parties had hijacked the protest, that was when we started suspecting that he was out to set us up.
”Let the world know about these killings please”. He concluded.
