The Attorney General and Minister of Justice used the official government letterhead for his office to inform people of his son’s wedding.

The letter dated July 3, 2020, contained notification for the wedding ceremony between son Abdulaziz Abubakar and Khadijah Danbatta.

Videos circulating online showed the wedding turned out to be a lavish exhibition of wealth for the high and mighty as many were seen flouting the government published social distancing measures. Guests at the event openly sprayed cash, some in foreign currencies; actions which clearly violated the Central Bank rule against the abuse of Naira notes.

It was earlier reported that Malami had gifted a mansion worth N300 million to the newly wedded couple.
