Obinwannem News Biafra Day: Kanu commends S'E govs for adhering to IPOB's sit-at-home order

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed a heartfelt appreciation to Governors Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Ifeanyi Ugwanyi of Enugu State, and Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, for their actions in solemnizing the fallen heroes of Biafra.

Nnamdi Kanu had declared a sit-at-home order to honoring those who were killed in the struggle for Biafra independence, since 1967.

The IPOB leader conveyed his warmth appreciation to the governors, in a Radio Biafra broadcast; hailed the courage of Governor Obiano, for building a cenotaph, in memory of fallen Biafran heros.

He also commended Governor Ugwanyi, for releasing members of Zionist Biafra group crammed into detention, for several months now.

Kanu also saluted the boldness of Ikpeazu, in “speaking truth to power”, when he declared on Sunday night, that Abia traders would not be forced to open their shops, today (Monday), if they chose not to do so.

Similarly, Kanu said he “grudgingly commend the decision of Umahi, to rescind his earlier threat to seize the shops of any leader in Ebonyi, that closed shop because of the sit-at-home order”.

Kanu stated that, “for the first time,” the governors had behaved in a manner that won his admiration.

He said, “Maybe they are beginning to repent. But, I don’t want to be quick in saying they have repented; until I am sure they have. If they have, that would be nice for us all”.

Kanu, however urged all Ndigbo, and other Indigenous nations that make up Biafra Republic, to be united, noting that “unity of the people is Nigeria’s greatest nightmare”.
