Igboho stated this while addressing his supporters in Oyo State, claiming that President Bola Tinubu inherited a terrible economy from the Buhari administration.

According to Sahara reporters, Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has blamed the country’s current misery on Muhammadu Buhari’s immediate prior regime.

Igboho said this while addressing his supporters in Oyo State. He added that President Bola Tinubu inherited a terrible economy from the Buhari administration.

The activist, who spoke in Yoruba, stated that Nigerians from the South-West region must band together to free the area from armed Fulani herders.

He stated, “Many people believe Tinubu destroyed the government. Tinubu did not destroy the government. My issue with Yorubas is that while Buhari was in control, I was shouting that we should come together to end our misery. Buhari had nothing to give us. My pain is that some Yoruba elders are now complaining, claiming that they wish to protest their hunger.

Have you seen any Igbos complaining? They have expelled all Fulanis from their territories, and they are now cultivating and doing whatever they want with them. Why can’t Yorubas unite together and chase them from our fatherland, let our parents to return to their farms?” He added. Gowon said this while speaking to reporters after visiting President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday.

He stated that, like the previous president of the country, he faced the same predicament when he began the Civil War in 1967, which many Nigerians believed would destroy the country, but his government overcame it.

Gowon, who has faced criticism from numerous Nigerians and quarters for his statement, has also asked the people to give President Tinubu more time to address the country’s socioeconomic challenges.
