Residents in Nnewi have called on Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to focus on fixing the roads in Anambra State, especially Nnewi. As the commercial and economic hub of Anambra state, the maintenance of Nnewi city is very vital to the economic development of the state.

The residents expressed sadness over the deplorable condition of the roads in Nnewi, especially the ones around the commercial areas, and the markets. Hence, Nnewi roads deserve immediate attention to ease the stress of bad roads on commuters and vehicles.

The Nnewi people beckons on concerned authorities for intervention in order to avert road accidents and other calamities associated with bad roads

The call for help was also extended to the prominent and well meaning people in the community. These prominent people like business tycoons and industrialists in the community are also entreated to lend a hand or their voices to draw the attention of the federal government to the roads.

The residents highlighted that fixing the bad roads in Nnewi town and its environs will help to reorganize the city to boost commercial activities for industrials and companies in the town. It will also attract tourists, especially, business individuals who traffic the city to invest there.
