Obinwannem News Nnamdi Kanu's trial has been postponed due to his objections to new charges

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was halted on Tuesday after he objected to the Federal Government’s new charges against him.

On Monday, the Federal Government filed new terrorism charges against the detained leader of the proscribed IPOB leader before the Federal High Court Abuja.

As a result, the original seven counts against him, bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism, were increased to 15.
