Ihiala is a city in Nigeria’s southern Anambra state, part of the Igboland area. It has served as the administrative capital of the Ihiala local government region. For a long time, Ihiala has seen severe killings of individuals/citizens and security officers, as well as the destruction of property.

An Ihiala indigene, whose identity was not revealed, spoke out on Nnatu TV about how saddened he is by the killings taking place in the city. He yelled out in a loud voice, urging the people of Ihala, particularly the youth, to stop killing one another because it is wrong to kill one’s blood.

He urges them to forgive one another, forget their grievances, and stop killing their brothers and sisters. He also implored them to stop dividing themselves and view everyone as one.

He stated, “Just when we think everything is calm and running smoothly, and peace is beginning to reign in the city, the killing of one another will resume in Ihiala.” What is the population of Ihiala? He inquired, “If this killing continues, by the time the long-awaited development arrives, there will be no one available to witness it.”

He went on to admonish everyone involved in the killing and destruction of property in Ihala that anything that does not promote peace, progress, and other positive changes to their city is not worth hearing or witnessing.

As a result, there is no need for the separation and killings that are occurring among the people of Ihiala, because instead of uniting them, they are tearing them apart.

He reminds them that he is pleading with them as an older, and he expects them to please listen to him, reason with him, respect him, and put an end to the murder since it is not acceptable for things to go wrong in front of an elder.

Every person has just one life to live; no dead person will ever return to life. As a result, there is an urgent need to put an end to the killing and destruction of property in Ihiala, particularly given the city’s low.

Finally, he pleads with the youth and everyone involved in the division, murder, and destruction of property in Ihala City to please pardon one another for any transgressions, put an end to the killings, come together, work together, and bring peace, development, and progress by eradicating anything that stands in the way of these goals for the city and its citizens.

He told them that they should take this action because Ihala is both their town and home, and they would return to it in the event of trouble in any of the places they have travelled to in search of a better life. However, if they destroy everything on their own, they will have no one or anywhere to return to in an emergency.

Consequently, he continued, to let everyone contribute to the city’s growth, development, and harmony rather than the contrary, such as self-destruction and division.
