The Lagos State Government on Sunday stated that an American and a Briton were among three new persons who tested positive for coronavirus in the state.

A Nigerian who flew into the country on a connecting flight KL0582 London-Amsterdam / KL0587 Amsterdam – Lagos is the third.

The 51-year-old Briton flew into Nigeria aboard a BA75 flight on March 8 while the 65-year-old American has been in the country for six weeks.

Lagos State commissioner for health, Akin Abayomi had warned all passengers who came into Nigeria on these flights BA75 and KLM0587 that they “have been exposed to confirmed COVID-19 cases.”

Lagos state has recorded 19 cases of coronavirus making it the highest number per state in the country. Two of the patients including the first index case, an Italian male were said to have made full recovery and have been discharged.
