Mr Abdulahi Wakili, the notorious Fulani warlord on Tuesday was remanded in Oyo State court for alleged murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

An Iyanganku chief magistrate court presiding in Ibadan Oyo state ordered that Wakili be remanded in Abolongo correctional facility, Ondo state.

Wakili was charged with six counts bordering on conspiracy, murder, kidnapping and armed robbery. He was prosecuted alongside his sons; Abu, 45, Somalia 27, and Aliyu Manu 20.

Obinwannem News had reported previously OPC members arrest notorious Fulani kidnapper Wakili.

During the court proceedings, a legal practioner Oritsuwa Uwawa, appeared on behalf of the suspects.

Earlier, the prosecution counsel, ASP, Adewale Amos told the court that Wakili, Abu, Somali and Manu on October 20, 2015 allegedly conspired to kill 32-year old Akinwale Akande.

Amos also submitted that on August 15, 2020, at about 4pm in Idi-Emi, Oyo state; Wakili, and others kidnapped a woman.

The police said the suspects were armed with cutlasses and axes robbed one of their ₦100,000.

Consequently, the chief magistrate said the offense contained in the provisions of sections 316, and 324 , are punishable under section 319 of the criminal code of the Oyo State 2000.

Idowu instructed the police to return the case file to the Oyo state Directorate of Public Prosecution.

He adjourned the case until May 17, for further hearing.
