Stranded Nigerian migrants in Libya have returned home on Wednesday.

The number of the returnees totalled 118; including men, women, and children.

This was disclosed in a tweet by The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NDCOM) stating the repatriation of 118 Nigerians.

Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, said “the returnees arrived in the country at 1:30am on 17th March, 2021”.

The commission said the returnees who arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday include 51 males, 41 females, 17 children and 9 infants.

They would be quarantined at the federal capital Territory Hajj camp for 14 days, in line with the country’s Covid-19 safety protocols.
