There’ll be no Nigeria in six months time – Clarke

Obinwannem News There'll be no Nigeria in six months time - Clarke

A prominent lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN) known as Chief Robert Clarke, has revealed that in the next six months, Nigeria might cease to exist, if caution is thrown to the wind, while responding to issues of insecurity ravaging the country, recently.

Clarke divulged this, on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

The senior lawyer said that, “Many things are happening and I swear by father’s grave, if care is not taken, Nigeria will collapse in six months time.”

He lamented at the spate of insecurity in Nigeria, while reacting to the recent warnings by the Department State Service (DSS), to come after elements causing disunity in the country

He said, “You see the problem with Nigeria is that those who should know, don’t want to know, and they do not know.

“The security section is talking and talking and talking, what are they doing? The security in this country is so bad, that I, Robert Clarke, (I) cannot guarantee Nigeria staying another six months.

He, however, said Nigeria had been experiencing these problems, since the inception of the 1999 constitution, owing to bad leadership.

“The problems are overwhelming, and have been created by these same politicians, since 1999 constitution came into being, and this group of politicians who were swimming in Abacha’s loot and trying to form as many political parties as possible for him (Abacha), got into money and came into politics, Nigeria has never been the same.

“Nigeria is worse than it was in 1982, what is the cause? The cause is the leadership we have,” he said.
