Let us encourage our brothers, sisters, cousins, children and wards to learn any of the following hard skills in addition to obtaining educational certificates (which is critical): plumbing, welding, painting, auto technician (mechanic), heavy-duty driving (crane, forklift, trailer, etc), tiling, bricklaying, hairdressing, barbering, computer repairs, etc.

Similarly, soft skills include software engineering, teaching (please obtain a CELTA Certificate), nursing (begin early), and so on.

Don’t merely be a trader; online shops are already taking control. Don’t just be a graduate; be a graduate with a variety of abilities.

As a Travel Consultant with extensive travel experience, I can tell you that Igbos are struggling to survive outside of Nigeria due to a lack of skills. The reason you see so many of our troops engaging in illicit things is to survive out there.

The Yorubas are ahead because of their deliberate efforts to ensure that each youngster obtains hard skills as well as educational diplomas.

Let us spread this message throughout all Igbo platforms. The finest investment is in personal growth. Let’s help ourselves by gaining practical skills.
