Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has voiced his concerns about the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision on Nigeria’s democracy.

The Court upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th Presidential election, despite allegations of identity theft, rigging, and various irregularities.

Speaking during an international press conference at Abuja yesterday, Obi expressed disappointment in the Court’s decision, stating that it disregarded substantial evidence and failed to uphold constitutional qualifications for presidential candidates.

He believes that this ruling has placed a significant moral burden on the nation’s conscience and eroded public trust in the judiciary.

Obi and his party are now in opposition, determined to continue their mission of building a new Nigeria that prioritizes economic growth, poverty reduction, and equitable opportunities for all.

They intend to spread their message of hope and change throughout the country.
