Breaking News: Ebonyi State Government Announces Scholarships for M.Sc. and Ph.D. Students

The Ebonyi State Government, led by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru GGCEHF, FNIOB, has reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling the promises outlined in its campaign manifesto, "The People's Charter of Needs." As part of this dedication, the government is pleased to announce the availability of national and overseas scholarships for aspiring M.Sc. and Ph.D. students who hail from Ebonyi State. A statement signed by Prof. Grace Umezurike, the Secretary to the State Government, and posted on the verified Facebook account of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Ben Uruchi Odoh, outlined the areas of government interest for these scholarships:

Computer Engineering
Data Analysis
Software Development
Automobile Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Industrial Chemistry
Environmental Science Engineering
Pharmacy
Medical Laboratory
Robotic Engineering
Aeronautic Engineering
Eligibility criteria for these scholarships include being a first-class or second-class upper holder in relevant fields.

Applicants of Ebonyi State origin who meet these criteria are invited to submit their applications, which should include an application letter, photocopies of relevant credentials, and two (2) passport photographs in a file jacket, clearly indicating the course of interest. All applications must be submitted to the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, located at Centenary City, Abakaliki, no later than November 17th, 2023.

All qualified individuals from Ebonyi State are strongly encouraged to seize this invaluable opportunity provided by the government to contribute to the advancement of the state. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting education in the region.
