Obinwannem News Nigeria to deploy military, police to enforce social distancing

The Nigerian government on Monday said it is considering using the military and other security operatives to enforce social distancing and contact tracing as cases of COVID19 continue to rise in the country.

The Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed said this will help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

According to official records in Nigeria, there are 39 confirmed cases of the virus and one death so far.

Many believe the numbers are higher following reports there are only three test centers in the entire nation.
