The Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, has raised alarm on the alleged abduction of its family member, popularly known as Comrade Ugwumba since Sunday, January 3, 2021.

According to the information by Carolyn Uchenna, the Press Secretary to IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, she asserted that the abductee was illegally taken from his hometown in Añara Isiala Mbano, Imo State by the Nigeria soldiers.

Subsequently, in the early hours of Wednesday 6, 2021, JOURNAL REPORTERS confirmed the news about the ongoing arrest in Umutanze ata in Orlu LGA of the State by the combined forces: Police and Army and that many IPOB members were being arrested.

The Nigeria military should exercise restraint bearing in mind that the agitation by the pro Biafrans is within the reach of Nigeria’s Constitution.
