Over one hundred members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have been granted bail by jurisdictional courts in Abuja, and Imo state.
Obinwannem gathered that 76 IPOB members who were arrested on their way to Oguta, Imo State, in 2019 were granted bail Monday morning.
The IPOB lead counsel, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor confirmed this on his verified Facebook page while expressing happiness over the victory.
He said, “The Imo State High Court sitting in Owerri, the state capital , has just delivered ruling on our application seeking for the release of over 76 Innocent IPOB members held in custody since last year.
“His Lordship granted all of them bail in a well considered Ruling just delivered now. We thank Chukwuokike Abiama for being on the throne always. We move!
Also, a statement by the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, confirmed the bail of another group of IPOB members who were airlifted from Obigbo to Niger State in the aftermath of ‘Obigbo massacre’ .
According to Kanu, “We praise El’Ohim Chukwu Okike Abiama puru ime ihe nile for his grace upon HIS chosen Children of Light IPOB.
“Both #Zoo High Courts sitting in Owerri & Abuja respectively, have granted 105 IPOB activists bail. These were those kidnapped on their way to Oguta in Imo State by Hope Uzodinma and his Fulani Janjaweed Police Commissioner and survivors of Gov. Nyesom Wike’s #obigbomassacre abducted and flown to #NigerianArmy killing camps in Arewa Core North.
“We are IPOB, we never abandon our own. Every soul in #Zoo custody must and will be set free. It’s only a matter of time. We are unbreakable and our enemies now know this fact. Those illegally detained in Ahoada Prisons by Wike is next. They too will be set free.
“We NEVER ever abandon our own! IPOB is the greatest family on the face of this planet earth,” he added.
